Ben Rogers was re-elected to the Linn County Board of Supervisors in November 2012. Rogers represents District 3, which includes most of the North East side of Cedar Rapids. Rogers previously worked as a Product Manager for the AdTrack Corporation, where he helped develop a web-based political software. Rogers also served as a Youth Care Worker at Four Oaks and has worked on numerous local, statewide and national political campaigns.
Rogers serves on the board of directors for several community organizations that provide services to individuals with mental health and disabilities issues. Rogers was a volunteer fire fighter with the Mount Vernon Fire Department from 2003-2010. In 2008, Rogers was named as one of the Corridor Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty” and a member of the Leadership for Five Seasons class. In 2010, Rogers was appointed by Governor Chet Culver to the Generation Iowa Commission to help Iowa attract and retain the now and next generation. In 2012, Rogers was one of 25 elected officials from across the United States selected to participate in the National County Leadership Institute in Washington, DC.
Rogers is married to his wife Andrea and his step-son Kieran.
